Pine Point Rapids Self-Guiding Trail

Pine Point Rapids in Whiteshell Provincial Park.

Pine Point Rapids in Whiteshell Provincial Park is a 5-8km relatively easy trail with great scenery. The trail takes you through dense boreal forest, over the rocky granite outcrops of the Canadian Shield, and past multiple rapids and falls along the Whiteshell River.

The trail offers serene landscapes and is a treat to explore in all seasons. It has had me coming back time and time again, now having visited in winter, spring, summer, and fall. I have paddled the river, and both skied and hiked the trail numerous times. I have caught the sunrise, the sunset, and one of my favourite times to go is in the middle of the night.
